Michael Reid
Michael Reid became the 23nd chancellor of the University of Montana Western on May 3, 2021.
Mr. Reid received both his Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Utah State University. He has over 30 years of direct experience in higher education, of which 20 of those years have been as an Administrative and Financial Vice President. Over his career, he has held positions at Sierra Nevada College, The University of Montana, Angelo State University, Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, and Pueblo Community College, Colorado. He also held director’s positions at Southern Utah University and Dixie State College, Utah.
He has nearly 25 years of direct experience in higher education, of which 16 years has been as an Administrative and Financial Vice President. Over his career, he has held positions at Sierra Nevada College, The University of Montana, Angelo State University, Mansfield University of Pennsylvania, and Pueblo Community College, Colorado. He also held director’s positions at Southern Utah University and Dixie State College, Utah.
