1999-2000 Bulldog Women's Basketball Team Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the 1999-2000 Bulldog Women's Basketball team. This team was the first women's basketball team to earn a birth to the NAIA National Tournament and the first women's basketball team to be inducted into the Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame. This team will forever be etched in the memory of those who watched Alison Burlingame make the half court shot against an undefeated and number one-ranked Lewis & Clark State College to send the team to the NAIA National Tournament and put Montana Western on the map at the national level.
Several of the team members wanted to make a difference for the current Bulldog Women's Basketball team and with their coach, they created and funded this scholarship.
This $1,000 scholarship is awarded to a women's basketball player chosen by the Head Women's Basketball Coach.
