Montana Western Director of Institutional Research, Charity Walters, said this year’s incoming class increased in Montana residents by 11% in comparison with last fall (and grew 2% overall). This year’s incoming class included 299 freshmen, 123 transfer students, and 17 readmits for a total of 439 incoming students.
“We are excited to see the continued growth of our overall enrollment and this fall’s increase in Montana resident students. We are proud to serve students from Montana and across the country at Montana Western. Our top priority is providing them with immersive experiences in their fields of study. The combination of experiential learning and the ability to focus on one course at a time with the block scheduling model at UMW opens so many doors for our students as they graduate and pursue careers or graduate school,” said University of Montana Western Chancellor, Michael Reid.
