In harmony with Montana Western’s growing alumni community, as well as its community of supporters and friends, the Office of Alumni supports the University’s mission of engaging, connecting and celebrating Montana Western students, parents, alumni and friends.

The University of Montana Western, along with Montana Western Alumni & Friends host a variety of fun events and services to help support our Western Alumni and promote community engagement.

We are deeply thankful for our alumni, parents, supporters, and friends who make a difference for life to our growing family and we thank you for your dedication to the University of Montana Western. When you join Montana Western Alumni & Friends you join a community that is supportive and encouraging even after you put on that cap and gown. UMW helps to shape you in some of the most important moments of your life, and we hope you'll keep in touch and stay engaged throughout your life and career.

  • Purchase the Montana Western license plate at your local county treasurer's office and your donation will provide scholarship and program support to the University of Montana Western.

    The $30 donation provided by the Montana Western plate purchase has provided valuable scholarship support for many years. Thank you for your contribution in support of Montana Western students.

  • Engage, connect, and celebrate Montana Western students, parents, alumni and friends. Always be included on the invite list for all of Montana Westerns Alumni and Friends events.

  • Celebrating 125 years with 125 stories! Whether you went to school at Montana State Normal College, Western Montana College of Education, Western Montana College, Western Montana College of the University of Montana or The University of Montana Western we want to hear your story.
